1. Our Commitment

Morgans Timber is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We continuously work to improve the accessibility and usability of our digital content in accordance with recognised standards and best practices.

Our goal is to provide a website that can be accessed and used by as many people as possible, regardless of technology or ability.

2. Conformance Status

This website has been built using modern standards-compliant HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript. It aims to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA accessibility standards as published by the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI).

  • No critical ARIA or semantic HTML errors detected
  • Contrast errors: 2 (under review for improved colour balance)
  • AIM score: 10/10
  • Keyboard accessibility confirmed for all interactive elements
  • HTML5 landmarks present
  • Skip link implemented for direct access to main content

Manual testing is also conducted using screen readers (NVDA, VoiceOver) and keyboard-only navigation.

  • Logical heading hierarchy
  • Skip-to-content link after the main navigation
  • ARIA labels and roles for menus, search forms, and modals
  • Semantic landmarks for improved navigation
  • Keyboard-friendly navigation with visible focus indicators
  • Accessible cookie consent and shopping cart regions
  • Alternative text on all meaningful images
  • Contrast-enhanced text and buttons (in progress for full AA compliance)

4. Ongoing Improvements

We are currently reviewing the following areas for enhancement:

  • Increasing contrast ratios on certain colour combinations (white on green)
  • Ensuring that all embedded third-party content, such as CookieFirst banners, meet WCAG 2.2 AA requirements
  • Continuing to test site performance with assistive technologies
